Rolling Fundraising Campaign: Chicago, March 18-20, 2027
The Society of Early Americanists needs your help to support conference participants in need of funds to attend the SEA conference in Chicago from March 18-20, 2027. These awards are intended to expand and diversify the number of conference attendees.
Grants will help defray costs for travel, lodging, and conference registration for SEA members with limited access to travel funding. This helps ensure that scholars from a wide range of career stages and institutions will be able to present their work at our biennial conference.
The awards support contingent faculty, graduate students without institutional support for conference travel, and other scholars for whom travel to SEA would present significant financial hardship.
Honored Teachers
The Fund to Honor Excellence in Teaching provides an opportunity for members or friends of the Society to honor the teachers who have made important contributions to their lives and careers. Honorees are listed on the Society’s website and celebrated in conference programs and other publications. Teachers may be honored (or memorialized) by a contribution of $300 to the Society of Early Americanists.
